Weapons are a type of item in Eternal Return.
Description
Weapons allow characters to increase their offensive capabilities and empower their attacks. They can either be found in containers, looted from wild animals around Lumia Island or crafted by mixing different materials and components together.
A weapon can only be equipped by characters who can use its weapon type. In the normal game mode, all players begin with 1 Common weapon of the type they've chosen equipped.
Each weapon type has its own base Attack Speed and Attack Range values that is added to the character's base statistics (also known as stats) and also comes with its own active weapon skill.
In addition to these base stat values, each individual weapon grants their own set of buffs to the character's statistics (these will be listed in green), with higher tier weapons generally granting more and greater stat values. When a stat buff is labeled "[Unique]" it means that it cannot be stacked with the same unique labeled buff from any equipped armor. When equipping multiple items that grant the same unique buff, only the strongest version will be active. A few items may also grant negative stat debuffs (which will be displayed in red) to counterbalance strong buffs.
On top of the stat buffs, certain weapons grant powerful [Unique Passive] effects. These will be listed at the bottom of the item's description, each with a unique name. Similar to unique stat buffs, Unique Passive effects won't stack with those sharing the same name from any equipped armor and only the strongest variant will be in effect.
Some weapons use an ammo system, where one cartridge is consumed with each basic attack done with them. Once they run out of cartridges, ammo based weapons must be reloaded before they can be fired again, which will set them back to full. Different weapons have a different maximum ammo count.
Mythic weapons made with VF Blood Sample can be modified into Crimson or Dawn variants by using Crimson Shards or Dawnlight Shards.

Weapon types
There are several weapon types in the game:
Dagger
Daggers are melee weapons with a short attack range. They can be equipped by: Cathy, Daniel, Jackie, Ly Anh, Shoichi and Xiukai
These weapons also grant the following base stat buffs while equipped:
- Base Attack Speed: 0.58
- Base Attack Range: 1.25m
Two-handed Sword
Two-handed Swords are melee weapons with a short attack range. They can be equipped by: Aiden, Alex, Debi & Marlene, Fiora, Jackie and Yuki
These weapons also grant the following base stat buffs while equipped:
- Base Attack Speed: 0.56
- Base Attack Range: 1.65m
Axe
Axes are melee weapons with a short attack range. They can be equipped by: Abigail, Estelle, Jackie, Kenneth and Markus
These weapons also grant the following base stat buffs while equipped:
- Base Attack Speed: 0.485
- Base Attack Range: 1.65m
Dual Swords
Dual Swords are melee weapons with a short attack range. They can be equipped by: Camilo, Cathy, Jackie and Yuki

Pistol
Pistols are ranged, ammo based weapons with a long attack range. They can be equipped by: Alex, Aya, Isol, Jenny, Leni, Rozzi and Silvia
These weapons also grant the following base stat buffs while equipped:
- Base Attack Speed: 0.505
- Base Attack Range: 4.85m
Assault Rifle
Assault Rifles are ranged, ammo based weapons with a long attack range. They can be equipped by: Aya, Haze and Isol

- Base Attack Speed: 0.55
- Base Attack Range: 5m
Additionally, the damage of basic attacks done with this weapon is dealt in 3 ticks: two ticks of 30% and a tick of 45% (for a total of 105% damage).
Sniper Rifle
Sniper Rifles are ranged, ammo based weapons with a long attack range. They can be equipped by: Aya, Bernice, Katja and Theodore

- Base Attack Speed: 0.43
- Base Attack Range: 6m
Rapier
Rapiers are melee weapons with a short attack range. They can be equipped by: Adela, Camilo, Chiara, Elena and Fiora

Spear
Spears are melee weapons with a medium attack range. They can be equipped by: Felix, Fiora and Xiukai

Hammers are melee weapons with a short attack range. They can be equipped by: Eleven, Magnus, Markus and Sua

Bow

Weapon skills
Each weapon type comes with its own active weapon skill. Weapon skills (bound to D by default) are used in much the same way as regular character skills are.
Weapon skill becomes available once the character reaches Weapon Mastery level 5 and can be ranked up at Weapon Mastery levels 10 and 15.
It is worth mentioning that triggering an Enemy Kill effect (by fully defeating an enemy) while a weapon skill is on cooldown will reduce the remaining cooldown by 15%.

Crippling Shot Grants you 6 vision, deals 100(+160% Extra Attack Power)(+30% Skill Amp) skill damage, and grants you vision of enemies hit for 3 seconds. Enemies hit are slowed by 90% for 0.5 seconds.
Dead to Rights Grants you 1.5 vision and deals 150(+180% Extra Attack Power)(+40% Skill Amp) skill damage to enemies hit. Dead to Rights deals more damage based on the target's missing HP.
